About the Opportunity
Mills College at Northeastern University is seeking part-time Adjunct Faculty to teach courses in the Early Childhood Education and Educational Leadership programs on the Oakland campus in the Fall 2024 Semester. Through its research, teaching, and engagement missions, the college collaborates across the university, the Northeastern network, and partners around the globe. Responsibilities:
Mills College of Northeastern University is seeking applicants to teach courses in Early Childhood Education and Education Leadership, specifically:
- EDUC 6201 Legal Aspects and Program Design of Special Ed.
- EDUT 6203 Theory & Practice of ECE: Curriculum & Instruction for Infants, Toddlers, & Young Children
- EDUT 6300 School Law & Public Policy
- EDUT 6301 Instructional Leadership
- EDUT 6302 Field Experience: Educational Leadership
Responsibilities include: developing assignments, assessments and a course schedule to meet required learning outcomes; developing a syllabus explicitly addressing credential standards; developing and delivering course content using the Mills College at Northeastern teaching and learning platforms and facilities; holding appropriate office hours; engaging with departmental and university part-time faculty obligations as required.
The courses will be taught in person on the Mills College at Northeastern campus in Oakland, California. The per credit rate is $2,317.50.
Qualifications:
M.A. required, Ph.D. or A.B.D. preferred. Preference will be given to persons experienced in teaching in K-12 classrooms as well as large and diverse groups of students.
